Archibald Beach Park is located in Madeira Beach, Florida. It is a beautiful park that has powder-white sands and crystal clear waters of the gulf. This favorite beach spot is popular with families, fitness lovers, locals, and tourists.
The park has a covered pavilion, four wooden walkover (one is handicap- accessible) outdoor showers, and restrooms. Across the street you’ll find a concession stand that carries snacks. Ample parking is available, but the park does get very busy on the weekends during spring and summer season. The cost to park is $1.00 an hour. There are no lifeguards on duty, and no pets are allowed on the beaches.
Beach activities at Archibald Beach Park include sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, beach volleyball, kayaking, paddleboarding, jogging, fishing, and beachcombing.
After a long day at the beach, have a picnic under the covered pavilion. It is first-come, first-served and provides picnic tables for visitors. No worries if you forgot to pack a lunch. Across the street from the park is the “Snack Shack”, located in a 1930’s log cabin structure. This iconic concession stand offers inexpensive food for hungry beach goers. You’ll find hot dogs, ice cream, beer and wine on the menu. Eat inside at one of the booths, outside on the deck, or take a to-go bag back to the park with you.
Events around Archibald Beach and Madeira Beach include the Clearwater Sea Blues Festival. This seafood and blues festival provides two days of entertainment for the whole family. Another fun event is The Gasparilla Pirate Fest. An annual event, this festival features “pirates” that invade and capture the city of Tampa. There are a number of fun things to do at this festival, with a parade being the most popular activity.
Plenty of accommodations are available in Madeira Beach. Try The Surf Inn for waterfront rooms with affordable rates.
